You might be wondering

What do I do?

I'm currently shaping the future of the design system at Vanguard, where I've been instrumental in strategizing and breaking down work. My journey in customer service began over a decade ago, which I balanced with my college studies. After graduating with a BA in Computer Science from UNCC, I gained two years of Product Owner experience and four years of UX Strategy-related experience.

What’s my approach to UX?

My approach to UX is rooted in a deep appreciation for human-centered design. I'm a bridge between creativity and problem-solving, crafting strategic solutions for creative challenges. I thrive on conceptual design principles, innovation, long-term vision, and alignment with business objectives. I make sure that every design decision serves a purpose.

How did I find myself in UX?

My path to UX is an exciting journey through various creative avenues. I've dabbled in art, served as a rapid prototyping preceptor at UNCC, conducted HCI research, and had the honor of seeing my graphic designs adopted nationally by ACM-W. My passion for cognitive science naturally led me to explore roles in UX and design. Even my passion for coding seemed an extension of my passion to create thoughtfully.

What am I like?

My roots in the woods of Maine instilled a resilient spirit that helps me overcome any challenge. While I still love the outdoors, I'm now a city dweller who spends weekends exploring Charlotte with my chosen family. My eclectic personality shines through in hobbies like trail skating, experimenting with new paint mediums, and hosting board game nights.

Feel free to reach out and connect with me. I'd love to discuss how I can help you create exceptional user experiences.
